The 10 ft offshore container
The 10 ft offshore container is one of the offshore containers from our portfolio. Like all offshore containers it is built especially sturdily and meant to be used on the high seas.
- Padeyes attached to the roof are used to attach the slings that are included upon delivery. This allows for the units to be lifted aboard, even when they’re filled with cargo.
- Typical areas of use for these containers are oil and gas rigs. When a container is supposed to be used aboard one of these rigs or ships, it has to comply with the requirements for an offshore container.

The 10 ft offshore container is made from corten steel. The floor is steel. The 10 ft offshore container has a tara weight of 2.300 kg and a maximum payload of 7.860 kg. This adds up to a total gross weight of 10.160 kg. The 10 ft offshore container has the following measurements outside: 2.991 x 2.438 x 2.591 (length x width x height in mm) and inside: 2.830 x 2.310 x 2.311 (length x width x height in mm). The door opening measures 2.114 x 2.181 mm (width x height). The container’s volume is 15,10 cbm.
Measurements and weight of the 10 ft offshore container are subject to certain ISO norms and the container is DNV 2.7-1/EN 12079-1 certified. This, as well as the close cooperation with the manufacturers, ensures consistently high quality.
