What distinguishes a standard container from a refrigerated container?

A refrigerated container is more than just an insulated standard container: it has a powerful refrigeration unit, insulating walls and special floors (FlatFloor or T-Floor). Personnel doors, temperature displays and safety elements such as anti-panic door handles are also part of the special equipment. This turns the reefer into a mobile cold store for a wide range of applications.

How much electricity does a refrigerated container consume?

The power consumption depends on the refrigeration unit used, but the following applies: the newer the container, the higher the chance of low power consumption. The outside temperature and the type of cargo also play a role. However, models from Thermo King or Carrier, among others, show only minor differences in energy consumption in practice. We will be happy to advise you on efficient utilisation.
